For a minority of young people, drug and alcohol
experimentation has or will become a dependency. It is vital that
there are support and treatment services in place to support and
aid them before it becomes an entrenched lifestyle.
We commission KCA to provide
structured support, including, one to one support, physcosocial
interventions (counselling) and prescribing services.
Young people can be referred into
treatment services by parents, social workers and health
professionals. They can also self refer.
Professionals can refer using a
DUST form. More information on can be found in the Training and
referral.
